I have always loved to cook. My parents were both very good cooks and we had a home cooked meal most nights of the week even though both parents worked. In 2006 I enrolled culinary school at the Art Institute of Houston and had a short and exciting career as a professional chef. My life now is dedicated to my family and fitness. I went Paleo in April of 2013 when I got a stress fracture in my tibia. The orthopedic sports medicine specialist I saw said my bones were “very inflamed” and I should try the Paleo diet. Not being able to run it was the very next day I started my first Whole30. I fell in love. My results were amazing, increased endurance, better sleep, weight loss, improved overall mood and just eating amazing food every day. This blog is about my journey through the ups and downs of being active, managing a family and most of all cooking mainly Paleo, sometimes primal food. I hope you all enjoy.
